Honkai: Star Rail is currently on Version 4.4, “In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound”. Phase 1 features Himeko • Nova, Sparxie, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae and March 7th • Evernight, and Phase 2 brings Gilgamesh and Rin Tohsaka. The countdown above targets the next update, Version 4.5.

Honkai: Star Rail is HoYoverse's turn-based, space-fantasy RPG. You ride the Astral Express as a Trailblazer, hopping between worlds threatened by the Stellaron — from the frozen Jarilo-VI and the celestial Xianzhou Luofu to the dream-city of Penacony and the myth-soaked Amphoreus. Combat is command-based rather than action: you build a team around Paths (Destruction, Hunt, Erudition, Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, Abundance, Remembrance) and chain Skills, Ultimates and weakness Breaks.

Like its sibling titles, Star Rail updates in numbered versions roughly every six weeks, each split into two Character Event Warp phases of about three weeks. Every update brings new Warp banners, Trailblaze Missions that continue the main story, limited events, and frequently a new region to explore. The timer above counts down to the exact moment the next version's maintenance ends.

Characters are pulled with Stellar Jade, converted into Star Rail Special Passes for the limited Character Warp. A five-star is guaranteed within 90 pulls under the same 50/50 rule as Genshin — lose the flip and your next five-star is guaranteed featured. Signature Light Cones (the game's equivalent of weapons) sit on a separate Light Cone Warp with its own 80-pull pity and a 75/25 split. Line up your Jade and passes with the phase you're aiming for using the countdown.

Because every server updates simultaneously, a single countdown is correct worldwide; use the timezone selector to see it in your local time. Below you'll find the current banners, the upcoming phase, and the complete version history — including which five-star characters and Light Cones headlined each patch.

Frequently asked questions

When is the next Honkai: Star Rail update?
Star Rail versions arrive about every six weeks. The live countdown on this page shows the exact time remaining until the next version's servers come back online.
How long is a Star Rail version?
A version runs roughly six weeks and contains two Warp phases of about three weeks each — Phase 1 at launch and Phase 2 midway through, each featuring different limited characters.
What time does Honkai: Star Rail update?
Updates typically follow a maintenance that ends around 11:00 (UTC+8) / 03:00 UTC, applied to all servers simultaneously. The countdown reflects that global moment; use the timezone selector for your local time.
How does Star Rail's Warp pity work?
On the limited Character Event Warp, a five-star is guaranteed within 90 pulls with a 50/50 on whether it's the featured character. The Light Cone Warp is separate: pity 80, with a 75% chance the guaranteed five-star Light Cone is the featured one.
Do Star Rail banners end at the same time everywhere?
Yes. Unlike Genshin, Star Rail's banner and patch timing apply globally at the same instant, so there are no separate per-server end times — only your local clock differs. Use the timezone selector on this page.
Are the upcoming dates confirmed?
Dated versions are taken from official announcements; not-yet-announced versions appear as estimates based on the regular cadence and are labelled as such.
